Machiko Hirota is a founder and lead researcher at Shiba AI focusing on multi agents, bias, and governance, with a concurrent appointment at MIRI on the technical governance team. Her previous research spans empirical and applied NLP and GPU-accelerated computer vision algorithms. She holds an MEng in CIS from the University of Pennsylvania.
