I'm a Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon, and I did my Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering at SIT, Tokyo. Most of my work comes back to the same question of whether an AI system actually does what we say it does, for the people it's meant to serve. This has been consistent from when I was working on a wearable navigation system for visually impaired pedestrians, to explainability in LLM-guided planning, to evaluation and benchmarking for agent systems. I care most about the parts of engineering that decide whether a system deserves trust: how it's evaluated, how it's checked, and whether it holds up for the people using it.
